Yes, you read correctly. Tank Docta. Please don’t ever call it Doctor, either. It’s Docta.
Where do I start?
Gear.
My gear is still a work in progress. It’s expensive. I’m currently farming act 4 inferno with my glass cannon gear, hitting 55k dps. I decided to go with my heart, and began farming for Tank Docta gear. Slowly but surely, I’ve gotten to the point where I can afk-tank act 1 inferno, I have a challenging, but doable, time doing act 2, and I have a difficult and slow time doing act 3. I still have many upgrades (and rather expensive ones) left, so I’m very optimistic about this build’s future. I’m progressing smoothly and safely with this build, and it doesn’t feel nearly as volatile as my glass cannon build.

There are plenty more variant builds for being a Tank Docta, and there’s no correct one. Play around with every skill we have, be your own judge!

In this video I explain the skills in detail and why I made the choices I did. (Mainly to save myself the trouble of typing.) I then run a little bit of Halls of Pain in Act 1 Inferno, fight a minion immune arcane enchanted pack, clear a couple white packs, display some afk-tanking while pets kill stuffs, and then wrap up. It’s a 14 minute video, sorry for the length in advance.

I do not wish to disclose the exact details on my gear, or really the math behind the gear selection, at this time. Soon. I’m still fine-tuning. A helpful guide on what to search for, however:
- Int
- Resists
- Armor
- Vitality
- Life Regen
- (Optional) Thorns
Just try to stack as much of the above stats as possible!
